Who?

Radius is an experimental radio broadcast platform based in Chicago, IL, USA.

What?

Broadcasts are powered using the Audio Relay Unit, an autonomous mobile radio project developed in 2002 by Temporary Services and the Intermod Series.

Radius is an unlicensed Low Power FM radio station. Radius transmits 4-watts using either AC electricity or solar panels that charge a 12volt car battery.

Radius is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license. 

Where?

Radius is based in a southwest neighborhood of Chicago, IL, USA. All audio works are broadcasted locally on 88.9-FM with a secondary stream online.

When?

Radius does not operate as a 24/7/365 broadcast. We do not require artists to adhere to a strict durational format.

How?

Radius accepts submissions for upcoming episodes on an ongoing basis. To be considered for review, please submit the following material:

• Artist/group name
• Title of work
• Work statement
• Artist/group biography
• Audio (WAV preferred)
• Image (300 dpi preferred)
